This appendix describes the SOAPAM process messages. Message numbers are grouped into the following ranges:
Errors: |
1000 - 1999 |
Warnings: |
2000 - 2999 |
Information: |
3000 - 3999 |
Cause. The VFS could not be mounted from the specified subvol. The reason-for-failure describes the failure.
Effect. The server cannot start.
Recovery. Resolve the failure and restart the server.
Cause. A process creation error occurred while attempting to create the backup process.
Effect. The server will not attempt to start a backup process.
Recovery. Determine and resolve the cause of the PROCESS_CREATE_ error and restart the server.
Cause. The -backupcpu option was supplied with an invalid CPU number.
Effect. The server will not attempt to start a backup process.
Recovery. Restart the server using a valid -backupcpu option value.
Cause. The -backupcpu option was supplied with the same CPU number as the primary process.
Effect. The server will not attempt to start a backup process.
Recovery. Restart the server using a valid -backupcpu option value.
Cause. The server is unable to determine the DNS host name it should use, either from the command line options or by requesting the information from the TCP/IP process.
Effect. The server cannot start.
Recovery. Restart the server using a the -host option.
Cause. The value specified for the -ports startup option is not formatted correctly.
Effect. The server cannot start.
Recovery. Restart the server with a correctly formatted -ports option.
Cause. TCP/IP error error-number occurred while attempting to open a listen socket on TCP/IP process-process name and port-number.
Effect. The server cannot listen for connections on the specified TCP/IP process-process name and port-number.
Recovery. The server will retry the operation in interval seconds. If the failure continues, determine and resolve the cause of the error.
Cause. Error error-description occurred while trying to perform a TCP/IP bind operation on TCP/IP process-process name and port-number.
Effect. The server cannot listen for connections on the specified TCP/IP process-process name and port-number.
Recovery. The server will retry the operation. If the failure continues, determine and resolve the cause of the error. Usually this error results from another process attempting to listen on the same
Cause. Error error-description occurred while trying to perform a TCP/IP listen operation on TCP/IP process-process name and port-number.
Effect. The server cannot listen for connections on the specified TCP/IP process-process name and port-number.
Recovery. The server will retry the operation. If the failure continues, determine and resolve the cause of the error.
Cause. Error error-description occurred while trying to perform a TCP/IP accept operation on TCP/IP process-process name and port-number.
Effect. The server cannot listen for connections on the specified TCP/IP process-process name and port-number.
Recovery. The server will retry the operation. If the failure continues, determine and resolve the cause of the error.
Cause. The -backupcpu option was supplied with a CPU number that is not available in the system.
Effect. The server will not attempt to start a backup process.
Recovery. Restart the server using a valid -backupcpu option value.
Cause. There is a problem with the license file. The reason-for-failure describes the failure.
Effect. The server starts but will not process web service requests until a valid license is installed.
Recovery. Install a valid license.
Cause. There is no free space available in the Virtual File System.
Effect. The server will run but any file write operations to the VFS will fail.
Recovery. Delete unnecessary files from the VFS (such as log files in /logs/http or logs/diagnostics if they aren't needed).
Cause. The installed license will expire on the specified date. This message is generated once per day when the license will expire in less than 30 days.
Effect. When the license expires the server will no longer process web service requests.
Recovery. Renew the license.
Cause. The primary process abended or was stopped by a system operator.
Effect. The backup process has recognized a primary process failure and will begin takeover processing.
Recovery. If an abend occurred report the issue to Support.
Cause. The primary process abended or was stopped by a system operator.
Effect. The backup process has recognized a primary process failure and will begin takeover processing.
Recovery. If an abend occurred report the issue to Support.
Cause. The backup process has begun takeover processing.
Effect. The backup process will become the new primary and will start its own backup.
Recovery. None.
Cause. The backup process abended or was stopped by a system operator.
Effect. The backup process has stopped and will be be restarted by the primary.
Recovery. If an abend occurred report the issue to Support.
Cause. The backup process CPU has failed and the backup process has stopped.
Effect. The backup process will not run until the backup CPU has been restored.
Recovery. Restore the backup CPU or restart the server with an alternate backup CPU.
Cause. The backup process CPU has been restored after a prior failure.
Effect. The backup process will be started in the restored CPU.
Recovery. None.
Cause. TCP/IP error error-number occurred on the specified TCP/IP process-process name and port-number.
Effect. The server is no longer listening on the specfied process and port and client connections to that process and port will be rejected.
Recovery. The server will continue to attempt to restart the port in interval seconds
Cause. SOAPAM Server has been started with the HTTPS protocol on port port-spec but no certificate has been installed on the server.
Effect. The server will reject connections on this port until a certificate has been installed.
Recovery. Install a certificate on the SOAPAM Server or or reconfigure the port for HTTP protocol.
Cause. SOAPAM Server has received a connection request on a port configured for the HTTPS protocol when no certificate is installed.
Effect. The server will reject all connection requests on this port until a certificate has been installed.
Recovery. Install an a certificate on the SOAPAM Server or reconfigure the port for HTTP protocol.
