Stopping the SOAP/AM Server

Previous pageReturn to chapter overviewNext page

There is no formal shutdown procedure for the SOAP/AM Server. You must be logged in as the user who started the process or as SUPER.SUPER. To stop the server, use the TACL "STOP" command to stop the process. For example,

> STOP $SOAP

if you specified $SOAP as the name of the server process when you started it. The following command shuts down all running SOAPAM server processes:

> STATUS *, PROG $*.*.SOAPAM*, STOP

When a SOAP/AM Server is stopped, any TCP/IP connections to it are terminated immediately. Note however, that any suspended client-managed TMF transactions will survive until either the client application ends the transaction (after you restart the SOAP/AM Server) or the transaction timeout occurs.
