Your Web service's Web Service Description Language (.wsdl file) contains all the information that a client application needs to know in order to call your service's methods. However, WSDL is designed to be read easily by programs, not humans.
The SOAP/AM Server dynamically generates easy-to-read documentation for your service from the Service Definition File (.sdf). To access it, open this address in your web browser:
http://MyServer.MyDomain.com:8080/SDF-path/SDF-basename
where MyServer.MyDomain.com:8080 is the SOAP/AM Server's host name and port, SDF-path is the folder path where your SDF is located and SDF-basename is the name of your SDF file without the ".sdf" extension.
For example, if your SDF is
http://MyServer.MyDomain.com:8080/services/samples/bankdemo.sdf
then the documentation file is
http://MyServer.MyDomain.com:8080/services/samples/bankdemo
Click on the method name hyperlink to see the detailed documentation for a given method. You can also access a method's documentation by opening the URL whose format is
http://MyServer.MyDomain.com:8080/SDF-path/SDF-basename?method=method-name
Below is a sample method documentation. It includes the description of the method and its parameters. Finally, a sample SOAP request and reply are shown to assist you in creating client applications if you must handle the raw messages yourself.
