Default VFS Folder Permissions

Upon initial installation, the Virtual File System is loaded with content. The following table summarizes the contents of each folder and the default permissions for the Administrators group (A), the Developers group (D) and the Anonymous user (?). See Folder Permissions Management for more information about folder permissions.

 

Information Icon The Administrator user (not the Administrator's group) always has full access to all folders.

R = Read; W = Write; E = Execute (Web services); B = Browse; '---' = none

1 "read" permission is required because .html application files are stored here in addition to the .sdf

2 "execute" permission is required because Wizard-generated temporary .sdf's are stored here; execute permission required to produce dynamically generated "wsdl" and service documentation from the temporary .sdf.
